Ekaterina Dotsenko and Mario Vukovic claimed the prestigious titles at Les Petits As, following in the footsteps of legendary champions like Rafael Nadal, Frances Tiafoe, and Martina Hingis. Singles
- Top seed and 2024 Junior Masters champion Megan Knight avenged her loss from last year against Grace Bernstein (SWE) but fell to eventual champion Ekaterina Dotsenko in the semifinals
- Rafael Pagonis (GRE), the top seed in the boys’ draw, suffered a surprise first-round defeat to qualifier Lucas Herrera Sanchez (GER), who won 6-3 7-5. The German player went on to advance to the semifinals before losing to runner-up Tristan Ascenzo (USA)
- Another early upset came for second seed Max Lorincik (SVK), who lost against Philip Smirnov in the first round
In the girls’ final, Ekaterina Dotsenko faced second seed Darina Matvejeva (LAT), who has claimed an impressive collection of Tennis Europe trophies since her debut on the Junior Tour. Despite Matvejeva's strong record and status as the favorite, Dotsenko won the match 6-3 6-4, securing her first-ever Super Category title.
Mario Vukovic, one of the home favorites, continues his great start of the year. After winning the Category 1 event in Bolton last week, he breezed through the tournament in Tarbes without dropping a set. In the final, he delivered a fantastic performance, allowing his opponent Tristan Ascenzo to win just one game.
Doubles
Before their singles final, Darina Matvejeva and Ekaterina Dotsenko faced each other in the doubles final on Saturday. Matvejeva, teaming up with Sofiia Bielinska (UKR), claimed the doubles title with a 6-3 6-4 victory over Dotsenko and Lilly Marie Greinert (GER).
In the boys’ doubles final, the French pair of Samuel Dakessian and Mario Vukovic came close to keeping the trophy on home soil. However, Leith Bennaucer (TUN) and Mohamed Genidy (EGY) triumphed in a hard-fought match, winning 3-6 7-6 10-5 to secure their first-ever Junior Tour title.
