The Tennis Europe Junior Tour returns to the grass courts of London this week, with a tantalising prize on offer for the champions of the Category 1 Lexus Junior International event at Raynes Park: for the third consecutive year, the winners will be invited to compete at the 14 & Under event at Wimbledon.
Main draw action begins today and as you would expect, the event has attracted a high class field, with the boy’s event including six of Europe’s Top Ten players. This is the first time that the AELTC’s facilities at Raynes Park have hosted an international tennis event, and the venue is already a preferred training ground for the stars - yesterday the players were on court alongside pros including Grigor Dimitrov and Aryna Sabalenka.
A Junior School class was held for players on Monday evening, hosted by Tennis Europe staff and featuring guests from the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), who introduced topics including Anti-Corruption and Anti-Doping.
You can follow live scores throughout the event on the Junior Tour app. Stay tuned to find out who will kick off their grass court seasons by earning an authentic Wimbledon experience from Thursday 13th – Sunday 16th July. That event will feature 16 boys and 16 girls from around the world, competing in a round robin format with knock-out semi-finals and finals.
