Türkiye hosts Tennis Europe Annual General Meeting

More than 130 attendees from 44 member nations are gathering in the Antalya region of Türkiye this week for Tennis Europe’s Annual General Meeting.

Hosted by the Turkish Tennis Federation, the 3-day event will welcome the Presidents and Chief Executives of national tennis federations to discuss a range of contemporary issues affecting European tennis.

The official programme kicks off on Thursday 20th March with the now-traditional Development Workshop for delegates from ITF Tier 1 nations. Friday sees delegates invited to take part in one-day conference with sessions and working groups scheduled to explore topics ranging from digitalisation, commercial planning, modern communications and gender equality.  Amongst the keynote speakers are Rüdiger Müller of FIFA and David Jäger of StrategyOne.

A meeting of the Tennis Europe Board of Management will also take place ahead of the 2-day general assembly at the weekend. Saturday’s Plenary Session will include a vote on the Faroe Islands Tennis Association’s bid to become the European Federation’s 51st member.

The AGM also sees the kick-off of Tennis Europe’s 50th anniversary celebrations, with plenty of surprises in store throughout the event. A full report from Antalya will follow.
