This is a busy week on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, with the first-ever 16 & Under Super Category tournament taking place in Milan, Italy. Torneo Avvenire is one of junior tennis’ most prestigious and long standing events (this is the 56th edition), with legends of the game like Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati and Maria Sharapova amongst those to feature in the roll of honour. For the first time this year, the club is also staging a simultaneous 14 & Under (Cat.2) event, and the Avvenire finals are due to be broadcast on Italy's SuperTennis TV this weekend. | 📸 Photo Gallery
Also this week is our premier grass court event, the Cat. 1 14 & Under Lexus Junior International in Roehampton, UK. This unique event offers its champions the opportunity to compete at the Wimbledon Championships’ 14 & Under event next month, and features a strong draw of leading Junior Tour players from the age group. | Live Stream
Both tournaments have also seen special sessions of the Tennis Europe Junior School during the start of the week, and are featured on the Junior Tour app this week with live streaming and live scores available.
15 other tournaments are being held across the continent as the summer kicks into action, including the massive 12/14/16 & Under Riga Open in Latvia, and other events in Italy, Denmark, Poland, North Macedonia, Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovenia, Armenia, Greece, Portugal, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Switzerland.
