European Junior Championships
The 33rd European Junior Championships for players aged 14, 16 and 18 & Under are taking place this week at three venues across Europe with some of the biggest names in junior tennis battling to follow in the footsteps of former winners such as Novak Djokovic and Justine Henin.

Former WTA stars to take on Beach Tennis elite at European Beach Tennis Championships
A number of ex-WTA players, including 18-time Grand Slam doubles champion Natasha Zvereva will take on the cream of Europe's Beach Tennis talent at the European Championships in Riccione, Italy next week.

Nadal Claims Wimbledon Crown
Rafael Nadal won a classic battle with Roger Federer to wrestle away the Wimbledon title, ending a five year reign for the world #1 as the undisputed king of grass court tennis.

European Lifetime Senior Champions
A special ceremony was held at Roland Garros to celebrate the achievements of four of Europe's most prolific senior tennis players.
Heide Orth, Marie Pinterova, Peter Pokorny and Istvan Gulyas are the first players to recognised with as European Lifetime Senior Champions, having each attained the minimum requisite 5 World and 10 European Championship singles titles.

European Summer Cups
There was disappointment for the top-seeded Russian teams on the final day of the 14 & Under European Summer Cups events, as Ukraine scored an upset to take the girls' Europa Cup for the first time while France gained some revenge for a loss in the 2007 final of the boys' Copa del Sol, taking the title for a record eighth time.
