Tennis Europe Junior Rankings on re-start

From the resumption of competition on 31st August 2020, and until end of June 2021, a player’s ranking will be comprised of his /her best 6 Singles results, 2 best Doubles results and best 2 team events* achieved between 18 March 2019 – until end of June 2021 during what is effectively an ‘Extended Ranking Period’.

Results earned between 18 March 2019 and end of June 2021 are protected and will have their ranking drop date extended by 52 weeks.

From week of 5th July 2021 through to 7th December 2021, results from the previous 104 weeks will be counted. All points from 18 March 2019 - 1 July 2019 will therefore drop on 5th July 2021.

The 52-week ranking will be applied on 7th December 2021. All points earned from  8th December 2020 or earlier will drop on 7th December 2021.

Ranking points earned during 2021 will drop after 52 weeks.

Results from higher graded tournaments 14 & Under Super Category, 14/16 & Under Category 1 (excluding the 12 & Under age group) can be counted a maximum of once within a player’s best 6 Singles results, 2 best Doubles results and best 2 team events).

Results from tournaments upon resumption in 2020 until/through end of June 2021 will replace a player’s result from that tournament held the previous year if it is a better result and provided it is one of the player’s best results.

During 2022, results from higher graded tournaments 14 & Under Super Category, 14/16 & Under category 1 (excluding the 12 & Under age category) can be counted a maximum of once within a player’s best 6 Singles results, 2 best Doubles results and best 2 team events), if an event is held more than once in the previous 52-week period.

Results from lower graded tournaments can be counted more than once within a player’s best 6 Singles results, 2 best Doubles results and best 2 team events results.

On 14th December 2021, the Tennis Europe Junior ranking period will revert to 12 months/52 weeks.

Note: *The ITF World Junior Tennis Finals 14&U or ITF Junior Davis Cup/Billie Jean King Cup by BNP World Finals 16&U (European players reaching top 8 only) also count.
