Tennis Europe Coaches Conferences
Tennis Europe organises one major coaching conference each year, alternating between the Tennis Europe Coaches Conference and the Tennis Europe Specific Theme Conference.
The Tennis Europe Coaches Conference is the largest regular gathering of European coaches and has been held since 1975. The multi-day event provides an opportunity for decision makers and leaders from the coaching community to share knowledge and discuss contemporary issues, and is open to representatives nominated by national federations, usually catering to those responsible for coaches education and national team captains. The Specific Theme Conference was introduced in 1999 and, as the name suggests, focuses on a specific topic. The most recent of these in 2011 focused on coaches' education, as will this year's edition.
The 2014 Tennis Europe Coaches Conference will be hosted by the Estonian Tennis Association in Tallinn, from 22-26 October.
The conference will focus on the development of 14 & Under performance players, with a dedicated key topic for each of the three days:
- Teaching methodology
- Player development pathway
- Coaching skills needed for developing 14 & Under players
The first circular and entry forms were sent to member nations on May 26th
